brass life?
Hi, any one who shoot 7 mm rm, how many reload do you get out of the brass?

I anneal at about 4 reloads and shoot them low speed and get on average about 6-10 reloads on Winchester cases.

I keep reloading my brass till I notice cracks on the case. Specifically near the base of the shell. I've reloaded my remington brass over 10 times and only recently noticed small hair line fractures. When I see them, I dispose of them immediately.

I go to the range and everybody tells me this and that. As yet, I haven't had any major problems.

It depends on how close your Resizing Die and your chamber dimensions happen to be. Long ago I once got 33 reloads on 3-7mmRemMag cases using SAFE MAX Loads of IMR-4831 and 150gr Nosler Solid Base Bullets. If I'd "annealed properly"(which I did not do), it is no telling how long those would have continued shooting.

But, if the Dies and Chamber just happen not to match-up real well, you might not get many shots at all.

P-FLRing works the best for me to attain the longest Case Life.

I set my 7mag brass up to headspace on the shoulder. I then normally load around 6-7 times with at least one annealing.

As usual just my $.02

I usually shoot 5-7 times before annealing . I also set back shoulder .002" when reloading and I'm in the

upper end of pressure range NOT MAX just a few grains under on many of my reloads .

As for overall brass life ; I've got better than #35 reloads on some older brass of various head-stamps .

Bumping that shoulder sparingly or spacing on it saves brass BIG TIME !. Neck size set shoulder back life

of brass is really good !.

I"m shooting max loads out of my 7mm STW, it's just a lengthened out 7 mag. 25+ loads and counting with Remington brass. I PFL resize, and just barely touch the shoulder each time.
