Hornady bullets
How many of you use a Hornady 35 cal 250 gr. spire point and what are your comments on this bullet for critters up to elk size- not hunting bear. It's used in a 358 Norma mag. I use Hornady 139 spbt in my 7-08 and 7-57 and have been have happy with them.
Thanks

The 35cal 250 Hornady is a wonderful bullet. I have used it for years in about every caliber out there made for it.

I've been using that bullet in my .35 Whelen for the past couple of deer seasons and have been very happy with it's performance on all the deer I shot (5 deer this year and 3 or 4 deer last year). I am going to S. Africa in July for plains game and really believe it would work great on everything I want to shoot, up to and including Gemsbok, Kudu and Zebra. But I will be working up a load for the 250 Partition just for a little added 'security'. I was going to load the Swift A-Frames but I decided that it was probably too tough of a bullet for the velocity I was driving them at.
