ALL AMERICANS PLEASE READ THIS!!!
I just came from another board that had pointed this out. It is apparently confined to the Indiana legislative for now but if it passes there it's over. I hope I'm overreacting but please go the link below and look at House Bill 1011 (HB 1011). Let me know what you think. Not to mention the one after gun shows, but 1011 is a show stopper!

I hate it when this happens [Mad]

Felony to Manufacture or Possess Ammunition

Why is it that the 1 st amendment allows everyone to say or write what they want regardless of its content, porn, tabloid, communist, devil worshipers, whatever. Yet the 2nd amendment has been trampled on doesn't mean what it says and is only ment for the military and law enforcement. This country, wether local or national, is run by a bunch of non veteran, college grad, snooty, career politicans who care not about the good of man but only about what it will take to keep their jobs and be able to retire with more benefits and luxuries than the people they are suppose to serve. It may be time for people to stop blindly following the " leaders" and take an active part in government questioning why there is a need for the working people of america to support not only this country and its wastfulness of money but also the rest of the world who for the most part doesn't even like america. It reminds me of that childrens movie " A buggs life" it's not until the ant realize that they have the power that it gets better. In no way am I implying a revolution far from it. I just want to know what happened in this country that made it alright to embrace homesuxals, or what ever you are but it is not correct to hold fast to the ideas and belifs on which this country was formed. I know this isn't the political forum but enough is enough the line in the sand has been drawn. Just to keep it on reloading anybody has any good loads with retumbo for the 7 STW.

I agree about reading it, but I'd suggest ordering it from your local bookstore, and paying cash...

Surely you don't think anyone would stoop to holding reading preferences against you. Do you?

Pertinax is aware of current US developments and lawsuits, and apparently also watches TV - it appears you are not.

On the contrary, I'm acutely aware of what's going on. My comment was tongue in cheek. Caught you didn't I, Carcano?

I think the book would make a good gift for your Senators and Representatives. I believe Senator Schumer already knows about it, however, for those of you in NY.

Ok I surrender. Apparently I am overreacting and the fact that there's a House Bill in the pipeline in ANY state that would make handloading for my .308 (and your .223, 30-06, etc etc) a double felony (manufacture and possession) is not worth worrying about. I'm sure apathy will prevail and 'someone else' will make sure this doesn't happen here...right [Roll Eyes]

Indiana HOUSE BILL No. 1011 is a violation of the 2nd Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States. Anyone who supports it is guilty of treason.

Maybe so. But 'we' have already allowed 'them' to allow the states the right to ban fully automatic weapons. I may be mistaken but this is an extension of an existing Indiana law making the 'ownership or possession' of an automatic weapon a felony. It's a short step to semi-automatic. There is a large bunch of deep pocketed gun grabbers that claim the only guns that should be legal are the ones that were around when the 2nd amendment was written. I lose sleep over this stuff and again, please don't shoot the messenger.

Just a minor correction, XWind, Indiana is a Class 3 state. Perhaps you have it confused with my sorry home state just across the border. (Illinois)

RWS, thanks for understanding the significance of this and moving it on to our shooting buddies in Indiana so they can jump on it hard, fast and often. I appreciate your effort and hopefully they can nip this thing in the bud, plus know where to keep an eye out for other related BS. [Mad]

Who is this "Representative V. Smith?" How in the world do gastropods like that get elected?? No, that's a slur on slugs - this condescending crime fighter lacks the native intelligence displayed by a common garden slug.

I think we can be sure any restriction on reloading is just groundwork for the gun-grabbers pinscer movement- ballistic fingerprinting on the weapons and taggants on the ammunition
