VV Powder Book Loads
Is it just me or do all the VV published loads for VV powders seem low? I was working up a load for my 7mm Rem Mag with N560 and the max load was like 65 grains or something for 160 gr bullet and the published velocity was around 2800 fps...seems about 200 fps slower than you'd get with a hefty dose of R22 and they have about the same burn rate...

All books should be used as a guide.

Nothing else.

If your rifle will take it, there is absolute nothing wrong with loads over the maximum recommended.

Your responsibility.

I have had certain rifles that showed excessive pressure with starting l9ads.

yep loading books are a guide, a place to start..go to the starting load and work up to your guns max, so you know what your gun will digest. If Your a novice the book might be your guide for a max load..start at the starting load and work up to book max until you pass mustard..
