If my hunting is confined to the east coast, my 45-70 1886 or my 45-70 Siamese Mauser.
If I'm out in the Rockies my 25-06 or 30-06.

I'd probably keep my Sako 6.5X55. If I didn't have that and was buying a new one, I'd probably follow Allen's lead, though I might lean towards a 3.5-10 scope. Luckily, I don't have to settle for one rifle!
