Maybe some of you can tell me if I have a bad set of dies. I have a set of Hornady dies in 6.5 x 55. When the FL sizeing die is set to contact the shell holder I get excessive head space in my Win featherweight 6.5. I also find I do not get enough neck tension to hold the bullet tight. I can push bullets into the case by hand no matter how I adjust the die even with the expander ball taken out of the die. Do I have a bad die? I get the same results using Win and Hanson brass.

Sounds like a bad die to me. I'd send it back to Hornady with several fired cases and see what they say.

Check the inside dia. of the neck after resizing and you'll find out.

It sounds like something is not right, I would contact Hornady immediately. They will likely rectify the situation.
