nosler custom comps
I'm working up a load for my steyr sbs in 6.5x55 and am thinking of getting some nosler custom comps in 140gr.
the bullets are cheap and would be great for paper punching and varmints. Has anyone tried these bullets out?

swheelerThe only ones I have tried are the 30 cal 168 gr offerings, 1K of them all thru the same 308. They are excellent bullets, on par with Sierra MK and priced better.

doctorxringI shoot them in my M69 Schulz & Larsen.
I like them. I've also shot the 30 caliber
155's and 168's and they shoot good too.

i've heard the hollowpoint itself is pretty inconsistant as far as size and shape of the hole. did you shoot them as is or uniform the hollowpoint any?

doctorxringI shoot them out of the box. No weighing,
measuring, or other fiddling. I shoot them
for fun.
If I was going to shoot for money, I would
probably shoot Sierra MatchKings.

Bobby TomekI use them as-is, and they have turned in some phenomenal groups in both 6.5mm (140 grain)and .30 caliber (155 grain).
The reviews of them on MidwayUSA are uniformly excellent. The 77 grain .224 has an excellent reputation for terminal performance. They use J4 jackets, which is what Berger uses.
