303KiwiNobel Rifle No 1 powder
Is there anyone who uses this powder? I just bought some off a mate and I'd like to know a bit more about what other users think? He likes it for his .308, .30-06 and a .30/284
I'll be using it in a .303
So what do you ppl think of this powder? I've never heard of it before buying it, and mostly took it because it was cheap and I'm just starting out.
Thanks everyone

El DeguelloNOT in the U.S. - it isn't available, unless they call it by some other name here.

I remember that Herter's marketed a line of smokeless powders, long ago in a galaxy far away, but I don't know anyone who actually used any of them!

ShopCartRacingI still have some Nobel powder aroud the shop.
I bought it at one time thinking it might catch on, but alas it did not.
Check my website, I might have a reloading manual by them.

303KiwiThanks everyone.
Those loads are just what I was looking for. 150gr and 215gr loads are great, and if I drop back the 174gr a few more from the minumum there that lets me work up a 180gr load

I'm fairly lucky, Woodleigh 215 grainers are cheaper here than they are stateside. if probably not as cheap as the aussies can get them for :P
Shopcartracer, if theres a specific Nobels manual in the shop somewhere it's not found it's way onto the online shopfront.

GadgeAn old edition of Nick Harvey's Reloading manual gives the same charge ranges, and similar velocities, to Saeed's.
Same charge weights for 174-180gn as Saeed gives for 174.
Woodleighs aren't super cheap here, but if you're after cheaper 215's, see Taipan's site
here. Malcolm should have an agent in NZ. These are light jacket bullets - much thinner than Woodleigh, and perform well on pigs and roos.

303KiwiDo you know what shipping to NZ would be?
1Kg of nobels no 1 shold last me a long time :P so it would be nice to have a nobels specific manual instead of what i can find in NZ public librarys

ShopCartRacingIt might cost around $9.00 or so if it fits in the Global Flat Rate Envelope.
Email me through my website and we can check if there is another way to ship cheaper.

303KiwiEmail sent... Could be up to a month before I can order the manual tho, but at least I now know it's there

which is more than i did before :P
I'm looking forward to having my cars paid off... that will give me $100 a week more clear to spend on fun stuff like powder et al... even another rifle maybe, I'd like another SMLE, this time with all the trimmings, fully wooded, nosecap and bayonet and all, rather than a cut don sporter :P only a few months to go
