First consistent MOA rifle.
The wife got me a Marlin XL7 in 25-06 for a gift a while back. I have just started working up loads. My first success was with Nosler ballistic tip 85 grains at 100 yards my holes touch more often than not. Today I loaded with 100 grain game kings from Sierra and 54.5 grains of RL22 that produced two back to back groups less than a half inch 00.438 and 00.488. I think I like this rifle. I have tried several combination's of powder / primers trying to get Hornady's 120 hp to group with no luck at all. I think that the 100's will be my go to hunting load for hogs and deer this year. Has anyone else had issues with 120 grain bullets in 25-06?

It's great when things go the way you want them to!

Good luck and have fun.

clap Congratulations! I, too, have a Marlin XL7, but in the .243 and it will shoot just about everything well.

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Congratulations! I have had great success with 110 Accubonds in my daughter's 257 Bob. Very accurate.

Yes, my buddy Don bought 1000 120gr Rems years ago, only to find he could not get them to shoot well in a very accurate Sendero. He ended up using some of them for Fire Forming and I believe he gave a bunch away.

My Browning A-bolt prefers 100 gr Sierra Pro-hunter bullets, I've got some 110 Accubonds I plan to try this season. This gun does not do as well with 117 and 120 gr loads.
