Ray BUsing .429" bullets in .404 Jeffery?
Running a .429" bullet through a .423" sizing die would result in a radius reduction of .003". Has anyone had any experience in getting bullets designed for a 44 Mag and sized them down for loading in the 404 J?

p dog shooterI have size them down to .416 to use in my 416 Taylor. I used 300gr serrias I shot several deer with them and they worked well.
I used a lee push through die and one pass there has been several threads discussing this.

RapidrobYou should be fine doing this.
.003 is supposed to be the max you can go without upsetting the lead core/jacket bond.
I have had good luck resizing .338 bullets to .330 for use in the 8x56R

dpcdHell, I have sized 300 grain .429s down to .412/3 for use in a 405 WCF, back when we couldn't get bullets. Now they are widely available so I don't do it any more. They worked fine.

Not a problem, my German friend sized Hornady 265gr 44 cal bullets to .423 for his 10.75x47 double. The 265grainers were as heavy as you could get in 44cal I don't know about now, but not sure why you would want 265gr in a 404J. Probably okay for pig at shorter ranges but not really much else. Better to buy the 350gr bullets for the 404J if wanting a lighter load for non-dangerous game or go cast.
