seafire/B17GWell if you called it a 223 instead, more people would know what you are speaking of..
but as far as a charge... with Varget...
start at 24.5 grains and work up to about 26.5 grains watching for pressure signs.. I don't think you will see any.. but I am just being extra safe in case you have a very tight chamber...
and don't use mag primers.. small rifle will be just fine...

I considered that, but I am actually hoping that some reloading manual has the higher pressure 5.56x45 load listed. (I know Hornady does, but they don't make a 64gr bullet.)
BTW, why do you reccomend not using magnum primers. I know there is some question about accuracy with magnum primers, but are you talking about something else?
Sierra makes 63 and 65 grain bullets but doesn't list Varget.
There is one on Hodgdon's website, but it's what Vapodog already gave you.
That's all I could find.

with Varget, Small Rifle Primers have always turned in better accuracy than Mag primers in ALL of my 223s...

With Varget, you cannot stuff enough into a case to achieve 5.56 pressures if you wanted to. 27.5 gr is all I can get into a case and it is heavily compressed, although some claim to fit 28 gr inside the case somehow. I would be very careful trying to achieve 5.56 pressures. If you must, I would use once fired lake city brass and work up very carefully.
