<slowhand4563>AR-15 load
Hello
Looking for a good shooting load for my ar. It is a colt hbar match flat top with 1/9 twist. I have some 55 grain bullets. Tell me what you use.
Thanks

StonecreekA bunch of powders work well in the .223. H-335 (the commercial version of WC 844) was designed for the .223 and is hard to beat. But 4895, BL-c2, Varget, WW 748, AA 2230, VV 133 and 135, and a host of other "medium" speed propellants will work nicely in your AR with 55 grain bullets.

<JLBMI>I have had good luck with Benchmark in my AR 15.
It was the first powder that really tightened up my groups.

<Madddman>With that twist try a heavier bullet.62 or even the 68/69gr bullets.
I have a M4 w/1 in 7 and 55s won't hit a pieplate with irons at 100yds.With the 69s I have great groups.
