Greetings,
I'm trying to look for Nosler 224 60 grain Ballistic tip bullets. I tried Midway, Cabela's Natchez, Grafs,Basspro to no avail. Can anyone please help?
Thanks

I saw three (250 rd) boxes of 55 gr. NBT's @ Gander Mountain @ 19890 SW Freeway
Sugar Land, TX 77479
(281) 239-6720

They were a bit pricey ($84 IIRC), but they had them on the shelf.

On the Gander Mountain web page, they show 60 gr. sold out, but list the 55 gr. @$49.99. Maybe those were mis-marked @ Sugarland??

Have you considered the 60gr Hornady V-Max?
I've had great luck with them in my 220Swift.
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!

+1! They are incredibly accurate in my 22-250 and AR (.223).

If you end up using a substitute....this would be MY first choice.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jigger and Phil N. Failing in my 5 month search for the 60 Nosler Ballistic tips, I switched to the Hornady 60 Gr. V Max. It shoots 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds using 24 grains VV 133 on my Sako Vixen with a Douglas XX barrel, 1 in 10 twist. I still have to try it on game though. Happy hunting to you all!

The 60 grain V-Max will likely give you excellent performance for its intended purpose -- light varmints. Unlike the Hornady, the Nosler Ballistic Tip is made with a solid base of jacket material. This is fairly irrelevant on varmints, but on game like small deer and antelope the solid base holds a significant portion of the bullet together and provides somewhat deeper penetration than a bullet with a conventional jacket. If you are accustomed to doing well on game with the Nosler, then you might find the V-Max penetration lacking.

Thanks for the heads up on the difference between the Nosler Ballistic tips and the Hornady V Max. As previously mentioned, I have not hunted with the V Max, but I'll make an after hunt report when the time comes.
Cheers
