Bob338I've used it in '06 and WSM. Just another powder. Nothing remarkable.

<KING>I would be interested in using N550 in an 8mm Mauser (.323) with a 180gr Nosler Ballistic Tip bullett. I haven't found any reloading data. Can anybody give me any ideas? I currently use 51.5gr. of N150 w/180gr Nosler BT and am very happy. Any help would be appreciated!

1894Not quite so clean, more prone to muzzle flash, more expensive.
Falls in the gap between N150 and N160.
?More wear

<Fanback>I use in in my 260 Remington behind Nos 120 BT's. High velocity and great accuracy. I could find no data when I started working up a load about 2 years ago. I started very low and worked up a grain at a time. I almost gave up. Accuracy and uniformity was terrible until almost max. I then backed off a grain.
I was going thru a similar routine with my 7-08 until a fellow decided he liked the rifle better than me.

Paul HI've used it in a 308 and 35 whelen AI, velocities are slightly higher then RL15 in those guns. I also tried it in the 458 lott, but it is too slow of a powder, velocities were lower then RL15, just couldn't cram enough in the case.
From my limited experience, loading N550 5% higher by charge weight results in velocities identicle to RL15, but at slightly lower pressure.

downwindtracker2It seems to work at max, only.A 4350 class,a bit slower than IMR-4350,a bit faster than H-4350.
