Whats the best powder dispenser?
I returned a faulty RCBS Chargemaster combo and am now wondering if I should get something different or get another one? Nate

If you are talking automated, I would try another Chargemaster. They are great if you let them warm up sufficiently, keep them away from any air movement, keep powder granules from under the little pad that the pan sets on, and make sure you follow the calibration process correctly every time you use it. My recollection is that about 20 minutes of warm up is recommended.

That is why I use a RCBS 10-10 and a Harrell or Redding measure. No complications.

The Chargemaster 1500 gets good press from owners.

The RCBS with out a doubt, I do not have any warm up with mine, calibrate, that takes 30 seconds then start loading, several thousand rounds so far and it is great. Other units need a warm up but the RCBS does not.

RCBS will be willing to replace it at no cost to you. take them up on it and give them another chance.

I tried to return it to point of purchase and they didn't want to take it but rather arrange for a replacement power source. I waited about a week and had emailed and called them.(RCBS) When I had not gotten anything from them I went back to the store and insisted they take it back.

I don't have anything against RCBS but was wondering if I should get one from someone else. Lyman maybe? Pact? I'm not even sure who all has these. Nate

I had the Lyman before I bought the RCBS. I don't think you will like the Lyman as well as the RCBS (when it is working properly). The Lyman is slower and I bought the Chargemaster for speed as well as accuracy. I know nothing about the PACT.

Midsouth has about as good price as you'll find on the RCBS.
