tiggertateThere also used to be data on Hogdon's web page and maybe on Hornady's. The best thing about this new cartridge is all the great bullets out there. Since all my hunting is in the lower 48, the 260 gr Ballistic Tip covers me well but I'll be trying the Accubond as soon as I shoot up all my current rounds. My load is 67.5 gr Varget, Rem 9-1/2 primer and the 260 BT. Causes great "planation". (Latin root "planate" meaning to "flatten"). I guess you can call your rifle the .376 Planator!

Atkinsonthat's a very interresting caliber and a fine choice, if I did't already have a 375 H&H I would surly build me a 375 Styer on a Mauser action such as yours...that would make a really nice light packing rifle.
I have been studing the loading manuals on that caliber here lately and looks like Varget is the powder to go with. a 300 gr. bullet at 2400 is about the perfect Buffalo/Lion load and with a solid should wreck a Timbo, IMO....

jeffeossoI don'thave my load book with today...
Ray's right,,. varget, RL 15, benchmark 748, are all great powders with it...
It's POSSIBLE, if you have a long barrel, to get over 2500fsp, barely, with a 300 grain... but the 2400 fps is perfect...
for plainsgame, which mine is built after, I use 225 gr hornady's at 2900, zeros at 200 yards, and a laser beam.
