Pics of portable reloading benches?
I've got it all together now...but need something to strap the press to... We move every year or so and, as such, I prefer a portable set-up. Anyone already cracked this nut? Pics?

Matt,

The portable units being sold are....for..sh...

Never mind. I went with a 500 pound capacity bench tool stand. The top (a big piece of a solid door) is removable.

The biggest issue I had with what was out there was stability. Can't get a good bullet seat without a stable platform. As least in my experience. So I "macguivered" one. That is cheaper to put together than those on the market.

How is Carlisle Barracks? Still get the aroma of cow dung in the morning?

Jim,

Yep, you can still smell the farmer's perfume. I came here from the Pentagon so it smells great to me.

Cheers,

Black and Decker Workmate or similar product will do a good job. You can also make a small table top with a 2x4 clete on the bottom that can be held in the vice of the workmate if you need more room to put your stuff on.

I did a lot of loading on a cheap chinese cast iron grinder stand with a 16in by 16in piece of plywood bolted on top with two presses mounted and space in the middle to clamp on my Mec shotgun press for an occasional work out. JB
