LeonardAnyone here use Failsafe bullets?
I have about 5 boxes of 180gr bullets for my .300 Win mag. Seems like they are constructed similar to Barnes X.
Been using 76.2 grains of RL-22.

lawndartLeonard,
Hard to beat that load. Should be good for Elk, Moose, bear and such. Will whistle on through a deer. I'm in the minority, but I don't think that is such a bad thing as long as the whistling intersects the great vessels above the heart.

Ray, AlaskaI have used the Lubalox coated ones with my .338WM. Great bullets, and i highly recommend them for hunting big game. These, like Barnes X may not be the most accurate bullets, but they penetrate deep. More than likely you won't retrieve many from game, since they will pass right through. I have only recovered one from moose.
