youngoutdoorsReloader 25 vs 26
Has anyone used both Reloader 25 and 26 in the same rifle, load, and compared the similarities or differences. Just wondered if the accuracy and velocity remained the same.
Thanks and God Bless, Louis

Canadian reloarderI've tried both in my 7mm wea mag with the 175 gr Hornady interlock. I found Rl-25 to be slower burning as I could use appx 4 grs more(75 vs 71), but got slightly more velocity with Rl-26. As far as accuracy both were around moa although I didn't experiment much as I found Norma MRP to be a better powder in this cartridge.

Ackley Improved UserIME, R26 has a speed roughly that of R22. R25 is slower.

Mike McGuireThat is dumb (dangerous) having the bigger number being a faster powder.
In Australia the powders made here and sold by Hogdon as H4350 etc. have a silly numbering system.
They have numbers like 2205, 2206, 2207, 2208, 2209 and so on. As a side note 2208 is Varget and 2209 is H4350.
However, 2206 is like 303 but 2207 is like 4198.
I think DuPont had the best system with a random number.

youngoutdoorsThanks guys! I was under the impression that 26 was the same burn rate as 25 only more of an extreme powder. Guess I was wrong.
