just me, my thoughts, I think is to slow for a 30-06

I would think RL 17 a better choice for that.

Daniel,
Not a direct answer to your question but I loooked in Alliants 2018 Reloading Guide. No mention of RL26 for any 30.06 loading.
There is info for RL25 and a 200 gn Speer projectile ( below ) which might indicate some possibility...???
( Case: Winchester, Charge: 60.00 gns Compressed, 3.295 = COAL inches )

200-gr Speer SP Reloder 25 CCI 200 Win. 3.295 60.0C 2481

Good luck.

According to QuickLoad simulation, it should works:

Tell me what 200gr bullet and what is the COAL.

What load exactly?
Brass trimmed length and fired brass water capacity
COAL
Charge of RL-26
Primer used
Crimp, what style, strong or weak?

Any other detail that can help us to find possible cause

Personally, for such a slow powder (in .30-06 perspective) I would use magnum primer as I do for 8x57 Mauser (I use Federal 215, or exactly GM-215M)

I just picked up 16 pounds in the last 3 weeks - after looking for some for almost a year. Got 8#'s on line from Graf's and found 8#'s in a local gun store, so picked it up too.

Doesn't help you USA guys but I just scored 2 lbs. last week. Was visiting a gun store on another matter and casually enquired about RL26, not expecting an affirmative answer. Lo and behold they produced 2 lbs. from the depths of their powder room ! I grabbed it to add to my 5 or 6 lbs. at home.
I am always asking at my usual gun store but currently they are out of stock and have no idea of when they can obtain more. They draw from imported shipments arriving usually once per year or, sometimes, twice per year, but with CV disruptions future shipment dates remain unknown.

RL26 works really good in my 30/06 with
165gr Accubonds I get 3008FPS.

Each rifle is its own test lab but it is clear in the data that compressed loads are required to us R26 with a 200 grain bullet.

I think RL26 will work great in the 30/06 with 200gr Partitions. Yes it is a compressed load, I have used a compressd load for 30 years. The compressed load I looked at generated only 58,000 psi it was 106.7 fill. Rl17 will work and not be compressed but will be slow. Powder is designed to be compressed. MRP and Mag Pro and RL22 can be used. RL26 is my go to powder in the 30/06 with 165gr bullets at 3008FPS.
