<PrimeTime>twist for 25 caliber
I will be shooting 85 grainers for varmints and probably 100 or 120's for deer. Is there a twist that will work well for this range?
I think I would tend to twist for the heavier bullets. What do you guys use?
Any advice would be great.

McCrayI just re-barreled a 700 in 25-06 with a Shilen #4 with 1 in 10 twist. It seems to be happy with 117-120 grain bullets. Haven't shot any other bullet weights but I think the 1 in 10 is generally used for all weights.

BigIronIf you intend to shoot 115-120 grain bullets by all means use a 1-10 twist. Slower twists will work for weights through 100 grains but the heavier bullets need more spin.
Most folks report that a 1-10 twist shoots lighter bullets well, but some .25's are picky about weight, that is, a particular gun may shoot 75's but not 87's, or vice versa.
