miles58For the 270 win start with 43 gr Varget and work up. I would expect them to max out near 47.5/48. Should give you a nice clean burning accurate as all get out load somewhere near 46.5/47.
I don't shoot WSMs sorry.

Bo-regardOLbiker,
7828 in the WSM. I have not seen a 270WSM that didn't like the combo..

vapodogFrom my limited experience with solid brass/copper bullets I wind up with nearly the same loads as I would using standard cup and core bullets.....but I repeat....limited experience!
Start 8% under cup and core bullet data and work up....chances are you'll be right with the standard data in the end....
btw....the 8% number is from advice I got from Northfork.

R FlowersThe best bet would be to pick up the latest Barnes manual, the number 4. There is data for both cartridges using the 110 grain bullets in there.
I do not shoot a 270 Winchester, but I recently started shooting the tipped version of the 110 grain Barnes TSX and am very impressed with them in my 270 WSM.
For the 270 WSM Barnes lists a starting load of 63 grains of IMR 4350 with the 110 grain TSX BT.
They list a maximum load of 67.5 grains of IMR 4350 for a velocity of 3552 fps.
I carefully worked up and found the max load of 67.5 grains was indeed safe in my rifle. However, my groups were best at 67 grains. I shot groups as small as 0.323 inches! With a load of 67 grains of IMR 4350 my Model 70 Winchester gives me 3585 fps.
I have only shot a few coyotes with it so far. But man, does it hammer them. I shot one last weekend at about 200 yards and I do not think he even kicked. Dead Right There!
I hope to get to try it on deer or antelope next year.
