N140 for 180grs out of a .30-06

Hi,

is this combination usefull? I would like to try the Sierra ProHunter 180grs SPT with N140 out of my .30-06!

I already have some ammo with N160 and the ProHunter! They grouped about .86 inch at 110yards!

They will go bang, but I think VV140 is too fast for 180gr. Accuracy will probably be fine but you'll be giving up 150-200fps.

Either of the 4350s, W760, H414,R19 or N150/550 would be my starting choices for this combo. N140 is better suited to 150 & 165gr bullets, my 308 Win loves it with 150s.
