dubs22-25015mph crosswind on 55 gr. 22-250 at 200 yrds???
Was at the range today and I was making 4 leaf clovers at 100 yrds, but was suprised at how far off at 200. How much affect would a 10-15 mph crosswind have on a 55 gr. 22-250 at 200 yrds? One was loaded with 38 grs of H380 and the other was 34 grs of IMR 4064. Thanks!
P.S. No chrony yet so I'm not sure of my muzzle velocity.

FjoldJBM says that with a 55 grain Vmax at 3800 fps will drift 5.7" at 200 yards with a 15 MPH wind at 90 degres to the flight path.

dubs22-250Are you getting this for a particular source? What is JBM? If there is a source.....a link would be awesome. THanks!

fredj338Yep, I was going to guess 4"-5". Any decent ballistic program can give you this by plugging in vel. & BC, which is what Frank has done. Now you see why it's so hard to hit things much beyond 400yds, wind just kills you.

Fish30114dubs, there is even a 'drift' calculator on the Fed ammo website.
