H322
A local sports store was having a going out of business sale and the bullets and powder were 50% off. I got there a little late and all they had left that I could use were some 500gr Hornady softs and some 250gr Speers. The only powder left was a few pounds of H322. The only small case cartridge I load for is 7.62X39. Does anyone have load data for this powder using a 150gr bullet in the 39? Thanks, Cobalt

Speer manual no. 13 lists a 125gr. bullet as the only option. Using H322 they have 27.0 grains as the starting load and 29.0 as the max, with speeds of 2195-2343 respectively.

Hodgdon No. 27 does list a 150 gr. HDY SP bullet using H322 powder. Loads are: 27.0 start, and 28.5 max., with respective speeds of 2084 and 2192

I have used 322 in a bunch of cartridges with great success.
.458 Win, 45/70, 308, 35whelen, 358 Win, 30/40Krag, 45x2 7/8. So it's not just limited to small cases. Regards, Bill.

Thanks guys. I had my first session at the range today using H322. To begin with, this powder meters wonderfully as the grains are very short. I loaded 28gr in Winchester cases, with CCI primers and 150gr Hornady spitzers. My rifle is a Ruger 77 Mk II stainless with a Vari II 3-9. 5 shots off the bags at 120yds , 4 touching with one flyer. I have some 150gr Hornady BT spitzers on order and will post target when I learn to send digital pics to this forum. Thanks again, Cobalt
