dustofferSource for .30 Remington Ammo/Brass?
Buddy "inherited" a Rem pump rifle in .3o Rem and is looking for either ammo or brass. Any sources you would share?
Or, is there a reasonably available cartridge that could be resized/fireformed to this caliber?

You make it out of 30-30 brass. I made a bunch
of 25 Rem for a guy here on AR last year.

How? do you turn the rim off of it and cut a groove?
Sounds like a big production per each case.....

Nordic2Cant 6,8spc brass br used?

eagle27Same case as the 32 Remington which has hung around a lot longer than the 25 and 30 Remington so is not that uncommon to find. All three were based on the same case just different calibre bullets.

steyrsteveWord has it that .30 Remington (and .25 Remington and .32 Remington as well) will not be made in the foreseeable future if ever again.
I bought a few cases from Buffalo Arms a year or so ago. Also, contact Glenn Anderson from Aardvark Labs. I gave him some ammo after I had sold my 14 and 141 Remingtons.
Or find a good machinist with a lathe, supply him with a number of 30-30 cases and a spec sheet for .30 Remington. This is probably your surest and least costly way of getting brass.
Good luck.

Right; it only takes half a minute to make one, and you only have to do it once. Yes it does take a bit of time, Better than not having any at all.
The 6.8 case is chopped off from 2 .inches to 1.68.

GAHUNTERThis guy makes it from .30-30 brass and sells it (or at least he used to). He's got a good reputation on other sites:
