I was just wondering if anyone has experimented with using a cannelure tool to put multiple cannelures in a regular lead core bullet to decrease surface area and hopefully decrease pressure/increase velocity. Kind of like a Northfork or Barnes TSX, but with just a regular bullet?

With a regular bullet it may fly apart on exit from the barrel. The jacket is thin on a lead core bullet.
