Anyone have reloading data for the Barnes-X .458 350 gr Spitzer? I'm going to reload some of these for my single shot 45-70.

Email Ty Herring at Barnes and ask him for load data for your rifle, he needs to know what level you can load to. He sent me data for my .405 Winchester right away. I got a feeling it's made for velocities higher than can be reached with the .45-70, it's not listed in my .45-70 Loadbook, but it has other .458" Barnes bullets.

I sent him an email. I've heard that guys reload this round, so hopefully Barnes has some data. It is for an NEF handi rifle, BTW.

I kinda suspected it might be an NEF, you can get into the ruger data with it, although you won't like the recoil! I have 4 of em, 2 Handis and 2 BCs, one rechambered to .45-120.
