Jim HundleyNew 165gr. Nosler Accubond
I just bought a box of these and I have the following powders on hand:H-4831sc,H-1000,RL-22,Ramshot Hunter and Magnum.I have a very good load worked up for a 168 TSX using H-1000.I was hoping that I could just substitute the 165 Accubond and use the same load.I know to work up again when changing any component.
What do you think or would you advise a different powder.
Thank you for any advise.

Jim HundleyLeft out the caliber.It is a .300 Win.mag.
Ah, it is nice to hear the 165 grs ABs are finally out! They were announced quite a while ago, but as of just a few days ago, neither the Nosler website nor the regular web-suppliers seemed to have any for sale. It looks like these bullets may finally be happening...
I have been able to load to max loads with ABs, so to me it looks as if they produce about normal pressures. I would not be surprised if your TSX load might also work for the ABs, although prudent reloading practice dictates you'll have to work up from below. I have had good luck with RL22 with 165/168 grs bullets in the .300 Win Mag. I don't know if the H1000 might be too slow, but if it works for you with the TSX, it will probably also work for the AB.

Allan DeGrootI'd be extreemly suprised of the AB's couldn't be loaded exactly as if they were BT's....
And the 165gr AB's are the ones I've been waiting for...
I've always maintained that if a 165gr bullet won't get the job done in a 30caliber rifle, then you should really consider using a 338 instead...

Allan that makes a ton of horse sense! I strongly concur, especially when using a .308 or .30-06, which I will assume to be the more common calibers. So far in three different calibers I have been able to substitute the AB for the BT, results are very similiar in the accuracy department, and perfomance is enhanced on game.
