Shipping brass to SA?
Does the US Gov't or USPS, or UPS frown on shipping brass?

Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

I believe the US State dept. requires an export permit or license of some sort.
Also I believe most countries require some sort of permit to import said brass.
Careful home work on both ends is wise.

It has to go thru US customs first, that would be the first place to ask, the recipient would need to ask on their end as well. I've shipped reloading supplies to Australia, he had to get a permit on his end to receive the brass and bullets, but this was before the ITAR regs were tightened on firearm related exports. Customs will be the one you have to get past here, if it happens to be restricted and require an export permit, they can either fine the shipper or you forfeit the shipment.

Brass shouldn't be a problem on the RSA side. As long as it doesn't involve primers or powder. I will make some enquiries though, if you'd like.

Brass or bullets are not an issue here, we normally have to pay some duty and VAT.
Biggest problem is the thieves at the post office. there is a more than good chance your parcel will be pilfered before you get it.

I was checking international die shipments on Sinclair's site, they state brass is restricted and can't be shipped to non-us citizens, that may only apply to businesses tho.
