case trimming question
I have a question regarding case trim lengthts. My Hornady manual has a case trim length and a max case length.

For example:
.22-250 max case length is 1.912"
.22-250 case trim length is 1.902"

My question is, Can the brass whose lengths lie between those two measurements be safely loaded without being trimmed?

ABSOLUTELY...they want you to trim when you get to "max" length. And they want you to trim down to "trim" length. You want to be in between.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Yes, trimming is not really necessary until the max case length is reached. Each time the case is fired it stretches a little bit. Resize the cases then measure for length and resize when they exceed the maximum length.
