In a word, NO!

300WM is 2.62" long, 300 H&H is 2.85". You can make them from 7STW, 257 STW, 8mm Rem Mag, 358 STA, 375H&H, or 416 Remington.

Hornady also makes a "Belted Magnum Basic" that can be formed into most of this class of cartridges.

This would work a lot better.

A while back I found some .300 Win. Mag. brass that someone had fired in a .300 Weatherby chamber. Hey, .300 Mag is .300 Mag, right?

For grins, I resized one of the cases in a .300 H&H die.

Way too short!

I would think using 375 H&H brass would be a heck of a lot cheaper and easier that basic brass.

Maybe so. But the fun is in the effort...
