Could anyone, possibly give me the starting load and max load for Hornady's 50gr V-max BTSP using VV N133 for .222 rem, it would be much appreciated as I dont want to buy yet again another manual. cheers guys.

scaramangaHi guys, thanks for the help but I aready have the VV loading data, and it only gives load data for the Hornady super explosive spire point (SXSP) its the V-Max 50 gr I am after, I think the easiest place for this will be in the Hornady manual itself.
thanks

Savage99Buy it if you wish but even if it has the load for that bullet powder combination each rifle is an individual anyway.
Just work up a load and be happy.

Use VV´s data - no problem, work up carefully as the v-max is longer than the spsx.

scaramangaYep I see what you are saying, and no i dont want to buy the manual thats why I asked if anyone knew the load data, and yes of course all rifles are different, but it is safer ( in my opinion ) to start from the published specs rather than a stab in the dark, wouldnt you agree?

n130,DATA

They do not list N133 load data, only the data for N 130 and N 135.
The Data listed by Raamw is correct. However the listing of a 50 grain Amax is a misprint. They do not make a 50 grain A Max, only a 52 grain Amax.
Load data for the 223, with the 50 grain Vmax and N 133 powder is as follows:
2900 fps: 19.8 grs
3000 fps: 20.6 grs
3100 fps: 21.4 fps
3200 fps: 22.1 fps
3300 fps: 22.9 fps
3400 fps: 23.7 grs;
In my experience tho, a 50 grain Vmax or a 50 gr SPSX is not going to show any difference in performance. The load data is pretty much interchangable. Hornady lists all the bullet weights by weight, not design in there manual.
So one is as good as the other.
cheers

raamwI rechecked my manual and The manual does have a misprint since they call product #22261 an Amax in the 22 rem section but call it a Vmax in the 223 section with the same product code
