skoutfitterRedding Carbide Sizing Buttons
Have any of you tried the Redding Carbide Sizing Buttons. If so do they really work as described and have they lowered the runout on your cases. From what I read on the Redding Site the button is actually free floating so it will center itself. Is this correct and do you still need to use a lubricant. Thanks

Bob338I have several, as well as the Hornady replacements for RCBS. They help, but the real answer is the Redding S bushing dies.
I am so paranoid about inside expander buttons that I use my carbide Reddings with lube anyway. I never use an inside button unless I can't avoid it; I use the neck ring dies whenever possible, even for f.l. sizing.
The problem is, that if the neck is not concentric and/or is not uniform all the way around, the inside expander will follow the existing non-uniformity in any event.

OldGuySkoutfitter,
I just FL resized a fired case with virtually no (<.0005) runout, and it still has the same <.0005. Keeps lube out of the cases too - which is what I was hoping to accomplish.

There was also no, or at least negligible case growth. Can't wait till Lee starts mass producing their collet die for this cartridge. They're still keeping it "custom."
