.416 Ruger Load
Tested first handload in a Ruger Alaskan .416 Ruger.

Bullet- Hornady DGS Solid
Case- Hornady 375 Ruger, necked up to .416
Primer- Fed 215GM
Powder- IMR 4895
Charge- 75.0 Grs.

Chronograph 12 ft. from muzzle. Temp 42 Degs.

FPS- 2326,2347,2322,2343,2326,2339,2331,2322,2314,2326. ES- 33, SD- 10, Avg.Vel.- 2329

Cases extracted easily and almost seemed unfired.
When Spring comes and Temp. rises I will try this load again and some increase to charge weight for an increase in velocity to 2400 FPS average.

RIP
Why use IMR-4895 when you can use the less temperature sensitive H4895?

One listing of relative burn rates lists H4895 at "110,"
while the IMR-4895 is "114."
H4895 is faster.

I will take note of your data and substitute H4895 for IMR-4895.
Thanks.

Good point, I'll try that next.
