HeatLet the questions begin.
I was wondering if anyone here has a "magic" recipe for a liquid cleaner that will clean the powder residue from the insides of the cases??
My thinking is that I will decap and then clean the cases in a liquid. At that point I will resize and trim if necessary and then run them through the vibratory cleaner/polisher...
Your thoughts and experience will be greatly appreciated...

skb2706Why would you want to clean the inside of the case. Waste of time and unneccessary.
If you just want to wash them with dish soap go for it but I wouldn't wash them and tumble them.

El DeguelloThis step is absolutely necessary if you are shooting black powder. The liquid used is soapy water.
Such washing is totally un-necessary, and a total waste of time, with smokeless powder ammo. There just isn't enough fouling left in the cases to bother with-certainly not enough to reduce the case capacity!! Besides, anything that would clean out smokeless powder fouling will most likely weaken the brass, too!

selmerfanI've seen the topic discussed ad nauseum over at the 6mmbr.com forums. They concurred that some liquid combination and then an ultrasonic cleaner made the brass look and perform like new, after it was annealed of course.

HeatGood info guys, it looks like I wont be bothering with this extra step... Just a decap then case prep/resize and then to the cleaner...
Thanks again....
