First ShotRem Mtn LSS 7MM-08 Loves Accubonds
Finished up a set of Accubond work up loads for my 7MM-08 this morning. These were 140Grn Accubonds on top of Varget with Rem Brass & CCI primers. Overall average group @ 100 was .590". Now if these things work on game as good as they shoot, I'm all set.
Charge/Group Size
40.0 .596
40.5 .370
41.0 .610
41.5 .880 (one flyer)
42.0 .495
Dark lines = 1/2", Light lines = 1/4"

Jay GorskiFS, Thats the same kind of groups I get with Varget, CCI and 150BTs in my 700 BDL S/S, cept I shoot another 2 shots just to see if they'll stay inside the group, they always do. I do let the barrel cool a bit after the first 2 shots though, barrel gets "HOT" from them.
Actually, mentioned this in a post the other day, 39.5grs of H4895 shoots the same, but it's pretty close to Varget on the burn rate chart. Jay

What caliber/cartridge are you shooting?
I tried the 150BT's and they averaged 1.3" @100. Part of that was me though as 4 of the 9 work up groups had single fliers. Otherwise, the overall would probably been a little less than an inch.
I let the barrel cool a few minutes between shots as well. Those skinny barrels heat up fast, but they cool down fast as well.

Sorry Maxx....but I don't know for sure. Don't have a chronograph yet.
It's at the top of my Fathers Day List...LOL

Noslers 5th edition shows 2,849FPS for 42Grn of Varget with a 26" barrel. I'm shooting a 22" barrel, so should be somewhere in the 2,650FPS range.

FS, 708.
When I first worked up the loads with the Varget I'd get 2 pretty much in the exact same hole, and one shot to the right or left, but I didn't let the barrel cool between shots, then I felt the barrel and I knew that was probably the reason why I was getting a flier to the left or right, let er cool a bit, and shrunk my groups(5 shots)to mid 4s.
Also use RE15(38-39grs.) with 150MKs, they actually shoot a bit better @100yds. than the Noslers, not much, though. Jay

Cossack,
You may want to get that chrony calibrated or check it against another one. That looks mighty fast for that load.
Florida...where you have to go north to get south.
