Ol` JoeDid you measure the cases before or after resizeing?
The cases will shorten from fireing as they expand to fill the chamber. Resizing causes them to lenghten as the displaced brass moves forware in the die.

If your reloads did not expand the brass and they are blackened, your handload may be on the very light side. Check your reloading manual to see if your loading the correct powder charge and type of powder. Also make sure your bullets you are loading measure .224" diameter, NOT .223"
