POP270 Win Varmint loads?
Anyone experiment with this? What are your loads? velocity? accuracy?

jpbI experienced great accuracy with Sierra 90 HP's. They will almost cut a groundhog in half, but most importantly this bullet fragments well, and does not richochet much (although it is still a bit worse than a .22-250).
My accuracy lasted until I'd fired about 2700 shots, then opened up to 1.5-2 MOA.
I can't recall the powder right now, sorry!

Marsh MulePop;
Here you go! These will Puff-Up a Wyoming Coyote in a heart beat!
90 gr Sierra HP
IMR 4831- 60 grains -Win LR Mag primer-My Favorite
IMR 4350- 58 grains- Win LR Mag primer.
Both these loads are 1 grain shy of MAX, I don't shoot 90's in my 270 anymore, only because I have a 220 Swift and 25-06 in Varmint configurations.
These loads were pretty darn accuratre. Warm weather shooting, you probably don't need Mag primers but for your Wyoming winters I'd sure use'em! I picked up some Speers one time and they shot pretty good too, but the Sierras were a little more accurate and consistant.
Good luck,
Marsh Mule
