stephenmaturinIt´s the discreet mark of Sellier¬Bellot, year 1978.
http://www.sb-usa.com/Is S&B brass known as being heavy and thick?
All I have to compare weight is WW 308 brass. 11 grains heavyer. Is it about the same wieght as Rem brass?

stephenmaturinPerhaps I found it here:
http://www.municion.org/Some components, like primers, are harder. But I neither know why S&B mark in this way, discreet, that cardrige. I´ve used some RP and some S&B but usually I don´t weight. Tomorrow perhaps could write some wheights I´ve some of both.
Regards,
GSP,
Haven't tried it for years and S&B may have improved their quality standards & control since then but my experience has been that I've received better reloading results using "other" - read - any other brand name brass.
This scronged brass is abit beat up anyway. shot from a auto and hit the concrete.
I will just order some more WW brass
Welcome aboard, stephenmaturin-
Did you borrow your username from a series of nautical novels?

lawndartIt is against the principles of being a range brass slut to actually order some brand name stuff. Take a deep breath, decap and resize those found jewels, and get on with life...

johnchIf it is S&B brass , I use it
I ran a primer pocket reamer in mine , as the primer pockets seemed to be shallow
It is heavyer than RP or WW brass
I use it for reduced kids loads , lite 30/30 class loads
Probely been loaded 12+ times
Anealed after 4 or 5 loads
Yes I am a brass whore

Amen to that. There has to be a country and western song with this theme.
