owensbyI tried some 120 tsx back in 05 just to see what they would do in my rem classic 7/08,and below is what I got.I couldn't find any load data back then so I tried some powders that worked for the hornady HP and SP in 120.The varget and IMR 4350 did the best out of my rifle.I didn't use them for hunting because the deer here I don't need a tough bullet. The hornadys work great on deer and I use46.5 Grs of varget with them and they shoot less than 1/2 in at 100.
This may not help any because every rifle shoots different. It is just what I got when I tried the 120 TSX.

floridabigfish120 TSX : 45.5 grains Varget (max) 3025 fps from my 22" Rem700.
140 TSX: use H4350

DwightI use 45.5 Varget with 120TSX and 44.5 varget with 140TSX. Start a little cooler and work up. All chambers are a little different.

KarooI am resurrecting this old thread after a search of this very topic.
I am shortly due to take possession of my first 7mm-08 and already have dies, bullets, Varget powder and cases.
The Barnes TTSX (not TSX as above) and Varget seems a very popular combination.
I do intend to work up loads carefully, but please give me an indication of where you have found the sweet spot in terms of load and overall length.
