AMU ammo reloading
Last week I saw them reloading for the Sniper Unit on TV.

Looked like all virgin W-W 300 Win Magnum brass and 72 gr of powder, and they said a 220 gr bullet.

Wonder what happens to all the once fired brass?

And what powder would they be using?

Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

I hope they throw that brass away!! I recently got 1,000 pieces from the same lot that the AMU was using that month. Pure crap.

I have tried almost every trick in the book in the quest for low TIR's (Total Indicated Runout) to no avail. The old saying that you can't make brass straight if it starts out crooked has proven true in this case (ha, ha).

I may end up tossing 50% of the cases and neck turning (just a cleanup) to try and get some under .002" TIR. Ya gotta have straight cases at 1,000 yards.

7828 sounds right to my inexperienced ears. Other candidates would be H-1000, H-870 and possibly MRP/RL-22.
