Polishing Dies
Varmint Al was a bum steer for me on 1) Tasco World Class Plus scope, 2) Mini lathe, 3) annealing by the glow of the brass.

But Varmint Al was ok when I read to put Flitz on a Q tip, spin the sizer die in the lathe, and clean the die.

That does not really polish the dies, but does clean them.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Crap. I thought you were gonna tell us about a new die that polishes brass.

"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

>>This is mere braggadocio, you have absolutely no way of knowing this do you?<<
And you have even less. The probabilities are heavily on my side.

>>I do have pretty good collection of abrasives<<
But you have never claimed to use one on a reloading die. Their characteristics are somewhat different when used in a small diameter hole.

>>>>Because you might cut too much too fast<<<<

You have never polished a reloading die so you totally missed the point.
The smaller bore dies limit your access. To use the paper effectively you need a wood dowel or plastic rod to apply pressure to the back of the paper. In a small caliber die the diameter of the dowel is limited meaning very little pressure can be applied without breaking or bending the dowel.
