I can finally afford to do a lot more shooting with my .416 Rigby. Just finished reloading 40 rounds yesterday. My son watched and decided he'd like to give it a try. He's got the knack.

Mad scientist at work.

Success...while looking tough... He's wearing the shirt I bought him after we rode the 'Tail of the Dragon' together on my Harley.

AZ Pete -- Thanks for the suggestion to use a Black & Decker Workmate for the portable bench. I reinforced it with a 2" slab of wood and it works like a charm.

That's great Matt. It's cool when your kid actually takes an interest in what your into. I hope you've got something a little more mild than the Rigby for him to build a few rounds to shoot himself!

Take care--Don

Don -- He actually likes shooting the .416...but we're going to buy some .338 WM and 7x57 dies soon. You're right -- it's nice to have him enjoy what I enjoy.

The other great thing about getting the boy involved is that if he gets interested in shooting and reloading it tends to keep him away from some of the other temptations.

Cool I taught my son to reload and then I calculated the cost per round and it came out as somewhere around $10,000 dollars apiece.
