F6HawkNcStar Spotting scopes
Does anyone use one of these, or have any experience with one? Are they good?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31715&item=7132165878&rd=1I like the price, but at the same time, I am sorta leery about it.
Thanks!

CoyotemarkI had one once, I would
Hold off. The quality was horrible. With spotting scopes or scopes in general, you usually get what you pay for.

Steve E.I have had a few NCStar products in the past and every one of them developed after a while(within a few months). I finally bought a Burris Landmark 15-45 spotting scope and have absolutely loved it, no problems after 2 years. Very good quality and very clear all for about $150-$175.00. I think it is about the best compromise between quality and price.

MarkI worked out a business deal where I ended up with quite a few NC Star optics. Maybe I was lucky but the scopes and cheapie binocs seem to be a good value for the $$. That said, I promised myself a long time ago to never spend less than $100 minimum on a spotting scope. I have never had good luck with cheap spotting scopes, no matter what brand. I have no problem paying $8 for a cheap pair of binocs, if I need them for detailed work I can always grab my Zeiss, but whenever I use a spotting scope it always pays to have it be a good image.
