Chrony Options
Well at the range by my house where I have been shooting, it is covered. I can reach the skylight with a 15ft cord I think. Not sure which avenue to go. I can upgrade my F1 to a Alpha master for 50 dollars with a remote screen or buy the bullistic printer for 85 dollars. Has anyone had any problems or suggestions. Please, no suggestions for Oehler. Thanks

I don't know if this will help you make up your mind, but I have three Chronys...

I set a Gamma Master at 15-feet from the muzzle, I set an F-1 1-foot in front of the target and I set another F-1 1/2 the distance between the Gamma Master that the F-1.

Comes up with some pretty interesting information...

Decided on the printer. Might make it little more convienent. I bet you do come up with some interesting results for your bullistics program. Are the bullistics programs right ricciardelli? Thats pretty cool experiment.

Put a peice of tape over the screens. That scotch tape that Mom uses at Christmas time. Read about it in some gun rag and it worked for me.

Dan is correct. Put "Magic" Scotch tape (you know, the one that appears frosted before you stick it on) over both sensors. Works wonders!

Also, it kesps dust off the recessed photocells -- tech support at the company told me to clean the photocells with a Q-tip or compressed air, then add the tape. Since doing this, my cheapie chrono has worked perfectly and I am glad that I did not spend more on a "better" chronograph!
