What distance do you practice at most often?

Lewis50With our hunting pistols and revolvers, my wife and I practice at 50 and 100 yards, with out carry guns; 10 to 50 yards, with 25 being our paper punching distance.

<Zeke>With carry guns, usually inside 20yds. Multiple targets from 5-20 yds USPSA/IDPA style. Weakhand, one-hand and various non-traditonal stances. Occasionally tie a potato in a string and hang it from a tree, try to hit it while it's moving(very hard). Set up the ratty old card table and try to shoot bowling pins off of it.
I get bored punching paper so I try to keep it interesting and still call it practice.

Still CrawfishWith my carry guns 7yds or less. With my Contenders I regularly shoot out to 500 yards and shoot steel out to 200m. My sons and I shoot a game just about every weekend that involves 20oz soda bottles at unknown ranges that is about the most fun and still be useful.
