I ma interested in using a spitzer in a 30 remington load (not a tube mag), and a flat point in a 375 win load.

Seems like some of their lighter constructed bullets in these applications might work well?

I tried some about eight years ago and they shot VERY well in a .45-70 sharps rifle. They ARE quite soft and I'd be hesitent to use them at too awful high a velocity. If You were to stick to the heavier weights I think You'd probably do OK.

I'd use them on deer or antelope but there are far, far better choices for the bigger stuff.

I've shot moose, eland, and kudu with the Hawk bullets, all with satisfactory results.

Lots of people here don't like them due to their soft jacket.

They were very accurate in my 404 Jeffery.

One thing: the copper jacket is really engraved by the bore, with quite good obturation of gases. So, start low with your powder loads; pressures can spike easily with these bullets (as I found out with some extruded primers).

I've only shot them in my .404j & find them way too soft, even in the heavier jackets, for a hunting bullet. The 400grt almost turn inside out @ impact vel. of only 2150fps.

I have taken deer and wild pigs with Hawks in my 9,3x74R and in my 450/400.
My velocities were in the 2200 to 2330fps range.
I used the .025jkt and the .035jkt. They have performed excellently for me.

VERY large mushrooms, and great penetration.
