crowrifleYes I tried them, but found that my CZ likes the 40 grain V-Max over Lil Gun and CCI small rifle primers much better.

V. SmithI would say put as much Lil-Gun as will fit and load and go .Seems that you can't put enough in to reach pressure problems . I load 12.6 grs of Lil-Gun ,Nosler 40gr BT and Rem Small Pistol Primers .Lota of info on this site about Lil-Gun run a search.

StonecreekLil Gun has been inconsistent for me (in terms of extreme velocity spread), particularly with the lighter bullets. AA 1680 seems to work much better -- while it may not provide average velocities as high as Lil Gun, its accuracy and consistency has been much better IN MY GUNS (others' experience clearly varies). Like Lil Gun, you should load as much as your case will hold.
WW 296 also does well with this bullet for me. I'm away from my data and hesitate to say what amount I've been loading with the 35 gr V-max, but you need to work that out for your gun anyway.
The little V-max is by far the best bullet I've tried in any of three Hornets and K-Hornets. It is the most accurate, and has devastating expansion on small targets. Wish it were more economical.

.22 HORNETI've got a few great recipies for the 35gr v-max too with Lil' Gun. However, I think you may have misread my post. I just bought a boat load of these at Midway in 33 grain. I think these are the same bullets Remington uses in their 33gr .22 Magnum cartridge.

StonecreekI see . . . I have no idea how the rimfire bullet may compare to the very slightly heavier bullet made for centerfires. I would think it would do just fine in a Hornet, however. Let us know how they work out. Too bad that Midway has sold out of them. I'd have liked to give them a try myself.
