Great deal on a progressive press
Cabela's has a great deal on a Hornady Lock-N-Load AP progressive reloading press. I just did the deal on one. The bribe was just
too hefty to resist and I've always wanted one
of these things for pistol loads.

Press with one shell plate $390 shipped
Free Bullets -150
Instant coupon - 20
Extra coupon - 50

First class progressive press $170 net

The instant coupon is on the home page,
you receive it by e-mail. Good till 12/22

The Extra Coupon you receive with the
press. offer good till 12/31. coupon
good till 5/07

To get the bullets you send in a form to Hornady
with proof of purchase.

Sorry to rain on your parade that might be a good deal. But IMHO if it's not a Dillon it's not a first class progressive press.

I acheived this opinion through much expense and frustration when not buying Dillon.............................DJ

I own two Dillons and a Hornady L&L AP. The Dillons are every bit as good as folks say they are....the L&L AP is not a bad press at all.....especially for short rounds like handgun rounds.

It takes some fidgeting to get used to it but so did the Dillons.

The Dillon has (optional) a video on it's set up and operation.....Hornady does not...the video was a good buy for $10....I wish the L&L AP had one...

IMO it's a fine loader...the very best one Hornady makes!!!!!good luck.

Yep, for every blue Kool Aid drinker,
there is a red Kool Aid drinker...

I'll report on this press after I get it
set up. I've used a Dillon before and have
friends who are happy with theirs. But the
deal was sweet so I thought I would try
red this time.

My question about the Hornady is not how good it will be now but how good it will be when something breaks a few years from now. Will it be a discontinued model that they no longer stock parts for? I've had that happen. With Dillon you don't have to worry..........................DJ

At least it's better than the RCBS "piggy back."

Hornady has been in business for over 50 years.....much longer than Dillon.....I can still get parts for my 366 that I've had for twenty years!!!!
